Ultrasound Workshops and Certification Classes:
Ultra-Sound Technologies, a leader in airborne ultrasound for predictive and preventative maintenance is hosting an Airborne Ultrasound Workshop and Ultrasound Technician Level I (UST-I).
This course combines basic knowledge of airborne ultrasound theory, ultrasonic instrument orientation, leak detection of compressed air (pressure & vacuum), bearing analysis, acoustic lubrication, steam trap troubleshooting, electrical scanning of switchgear & substations and electrical case histories to qualify all attendees with the ability to perform ultrasound inspections.
We will also acquaint the attendees with the process of interfacing a vibration analyzer with an airborne ultrasound instrument. Also, on-hand will be an electrical training aid (corona, tracking & arcing), a bearing trainer, a valve leak detection trainer, and an air leak training aid. Along with several makes and models of airborne ultrasound instruments (U.E, Systems Ultraprobe®, SDT North America®, CSI®, CTRL® instruments).

The Ultrasonic Workshop is designed to perk your interest in the technology, familiarize you with the equipment, theory and the many applications and is taught from the same Level I Manual.
The Level I Class is designed to perk your interest in the technology, familiarize you with the equipment, theory and the many applications.
The Level II Class is designed to further familiarize you with the technology, applications and detail inspection practices. As well as the practice of integrating with other technologies such as vibration and infrared inspection. 
All Certification Classes and Workshops are available "On-Your-Site".



Jim Hall, president of Ultra-Sound Technologies will instruct the course. Jim Hall has over 17 years experience in airborne ultrasound for predictive and preventative maintenance. Jim has been serving the Southeastern United States for several years. Such companies as, TVA, Dell, Maytag, Gillette Oakridge Nuclear, Kenworth and General Motors are all user’s of airborne ultrasound for pdm. Jim is also co-editor of UPTIME Magazine (Ultrasound), a magazine for Pdm & CBM Professionals and he publishes a free bi-weekly newsletter called Ultrasonic War Stories.
